The IDF is still hunting for the Muslim terrorists who carried out the drive-by shooting near the Jewish community of Givat Assaf in Binyamin in which two combat soldiers, Sgt. Yossi Cohen and Staff Sgt. Yovel Mor-Yosef were murdered and two others were wounded.
Last week, elite Yamam counter-terrorism forces shot and eliminated one of the Muslim terrorists behind the shooting attack near the Jewish community of Ofra, in which a 3-day-old premature baby was murdered after his mother was critically wounded by the terrorists.
The terrorist attempted to escape but troops opened fire, critically wounding him. Later, his condition improved to eliminated at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. He was identified as 29-year-old Salah Barghouti, a member of the Barghouti clan of jihadists.
Salah is the son of Omar Barghouti, a senior Hamas terrorist who spent 28 years in Israeli prisons. His elder son, Assam, was jailed 11 years for terrorism and planning to abduct Israeli soldiers.
Another Muslim terrorist from the Barghouti clan who was connected to the shooting attacks was caught by elite undercover forces and pulled out of a store in the Arab village of Kobar in the Ramallah area.
Shots were fired again towards Ofra Junction on Thursday evening, this time from the Arab village of Ein Yabrud.
IDF forces arrived at the scene and fired back at the source of the fire and temporarily blocked Route 60 in both directions.
