Jewish journalist Laura Loomer has been banned from Twitter and Facebook after she tweeted criticizing Muslima Rep. elect Ilhan Omar and Sharia practices like female genital mutilation.
Twitter found Loomer in violation of its “rules against hateful conduct” and cited a tweet from Loomer telling the truth about Minnesota’s Democratic Representative-elect Ilhan Omar.
“Isn’t it ironic how the twitter moment used to celebrate ‘women, LGBTQ, and minorities’ is a picture of Ilhan Omar?” Loomer’s tweet said. “Ilhan is pro Sharia Ilhan is pro- FGB Under Sharia, homosexuals are oppressed & killed. Women are abused & forced to wear the hibah. Ilhan is anti Jewish.”
“Free speech is under attack by the Left and big tech companies in this country,” said Loomer, adding, “My haters are celebrating today, and they are saying this is the end of my career, but I want everyone to know I’m just getting started. Everyone who knows me knows I don’t back down,” Loomer said in a statement on social media platform Gab.
“I’ve been silenced in America,” Loomer said in a video posted to YouTube in response to the Twitter ban. She had more than 260,000 followers on the social media platform before her suspension.
Muslima Ilhan Omar is a newly-elected U.S. representative from Minnesota’s 5th congressional district and a member of the left-wing “Justice Democrats.”
“Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel,” said Omar in a tweet from 2012, which she defended as recently as May 2018.
Omar has a history of anti-Israel comments, voted against a bill that would block efforts to boycott Israeli businesses and against a 2017 bill that increased penalties for female genital mutilation.
