Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara visited a photo exhibition in memory of hero soldier Hadas Malka, together with her parents and members of her family.
“The image of Hadas Malka is etched in the hearts of young people and the nation. Hadas is an outstanding example everywhere. She was a fighter and a hero. Hadas has become an ideal among the fighting young people of the State of Israel”, PM Netanyahu said.
“Hadas is an example of bravery, sacrifice, leadership and values and this is remembered in every word and in every photograph. This comes from the home and goes to many homes,” he added.
“Hadas entered our hearts and the heart entire of the entire people of Israel from the first moment. She is a national hero,” Sara Netanyahu said.
23-year-old Border Police officer Hadas Malka was murdered in a combined shooting and stabbing attack in Jerusalem’s Old City.
On 16 June 2017, two Muslim terrorists opened fire at a Border Police force while a third terrorist brutally stabbed Malka. She suffered critical injuries, was evacuated to the Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital, where she later succumbed to her wounds.
All three terrorists were shot and eliminated by security forces at the scene.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the terror attack.
