At the same time, Lebanese state-run National News Agency reported Israeli warplanes performed mock raids above southern Lebanon.

A wide-ranging attack on Iranian, Hezbollah targets continues.
An initial airstrike of the Israel Air Force targeting Iranian and Hezbollah weapons storages was not successful as Syrian air defense systems managed to shoot down some of the missiles. Following the plan, F-16 warplanes escorted by F-35 interceptors struck the targets in the second round of airstrikes.

Last week, PM Netanyahu said that Israel will escalate its fight against Iranian-aligned forces in Syria after the withdrawal of US troops from the country. “We will continue to aggressively act against Iran’s efforts to entrench in Syria. We do not intend to reduce our efforts. We will intensify them, and I know that we do so with the full support and backing of the United States.”
A report in the American weekly Newsweek said several senior Hezbollah terrorists were wounded in the Israeli strike. Citing a Department of Defense source familiar with the details via senior Israeli representatives, the Hezbollah officials had embarked a plane head to Iran at the time of the strike.

On Tuesday morning, a Boeing 747 of Iranian airline Fars Air Qeshm, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, took off from Tehran International Airport to Imam Khomeini International Airport.
At 5:30pm, the plane took off for Damascus International Airport where it landed shortly after 7:45 pm. The plane was apparently used to transport military equipment to the Syrian army and Hezbollah terror group.
However, there was no credible basis for the claim that Hezbollah officials were wounded during the strikes.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Israeli airstrikes targeted three positions south of Damascus and at least three Syrian soldiers were wounded in the attack.
